Google User: The Busy Corner is one of the local restaurants that everyone knows and loves. It's located just off of I-74 in Goodfield in a new building. They moved a couple years ago because the old place was just too small. We stopped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast/lunch and the place was packed. We were shown to a table and our waitress was with us immediately for drinks. Since it wasn't quite noon yet, we both ordered off the breakfast menu. I orderd the cheese omelet which came with hash browns and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly and loaded with cheese which almost tasted like velveeta to me but was probably a sharp cheddar. Either way, it was delicious. I polished it off in a matter of minutes. My girlfriend ordered two scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Again, it didn't take long to get through. This was far above your average breakfast food. There are a lot of other interesting things about The Busy Corner. They are pretty well known for their pies. There's a big display case near the cash register filled with pies. I don't mean lots of one kind of pie, but many different flavors. If there's a pie you like, chances are they've made it. The other neat thing is the bar. Opposite the dining room is a small horseshoe-shapped bar where you can get a cup of coffee and a quick meal if your dining alone. The building is even a Wi-Fi hotspot so bring your laptop and read the paper with that morning cup of coffee. The two of us ate for about $12 and we were in and out in about 20 minutes. The Busy Corner is one of those great diners that this country couldn't survive without.
google User: Yummy pie! Portions are HUGE.
urbanspoon.com review: Awesome food, great staff, and you can't beat the price. You have to try the pies!
tripadvisor.com: If you are ever on I-74 or anywhere remotely close to Goodfield, Illinois, you need to stop here. I am originally from Eureka (a nearby town), and I still get homesick for their pie, homemade tenderloins, ribs, and the cinnamon bread! They have the best ribs I've ever had, and my family tries the ribs at all the restaurants who advertise for fabulous ribs. The tenderloins (an Illinois staple) are delicious, and the pie. Let's just have a minute of silence for that pie. The staff are always friendly, it's always clean, and there's always good food.
tripadvisor.com: Busy Corner was a delight to our souls! There were 4 of us with 4 different ideas of what is a good breakfast. My parents are great coniseurers of food so when I tell you they were pleased-that is saying something!! The coffee was excellant and needed no cream. The service was good and our breakfast came in a timely manner.
